Project Brief

Trinity is a short film by Tony Adigun, created as part of the Dance Movies on Merce programme, which brought together five UK-based artists inspired by Merce Cunningham’s pioneering work. This film explores Cunningham’s influence on contemporary dance, reflecting his unique practices and methods. Presented at Merce Circus, an immersive event held at Stratford Circus in East London, Trinity was part of a wider collaboration between Dance Umbrella, East London Dance, the Barbican, and the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, offering audiences a rare opportunity to engage with Cunningham’s legacy.
